KABALI - A Ranjith movie with Superstar...

So, Bucket list item fulfilled... First day show Rajini Movie.. and its KABALI!!!! Though its Pune, the hall is happily house full with some famillies, and Thalaivar fans working over in different IT parks. I was enjoying the screams, whistles, cheers when Rajini appears on screen..‪#‎KABALI‬

Only when Rajini movie comes, people don’t look it as a another movie releasing on Friday., rather consider as part of life!! I do..
Whatever people gives rating.. I’ll tick for 8/10… KABALI da!!

Strong message from this movie,
• Focuses what and all a man loses in life when he is in imprisonment for long term, and once come back, how he is trying to get into normal family life..
• Shows, the love and emotional bonding between husband and wife even though they were separated. Rajini has really acted to the chore showing intensity of his love towards his wife in many shots. I could say Kabali is 50% love story, 50% Gangster life..

Get out of your Rajini commercial movie imaginations from your Brain and go for KABALI...

1. Its Ranjith's movie... :), appreciate his attempt to showcase Rajini in this way!!, Neither he compromise in his way of making, nor as Rajini movie. You have kept that suspense thriller effect throughout the movie. Hats off!!
2. Rajini has realized now, how to come out of his commercialized market... really happy to see as real age Rajini on screen.. Loved the white beard young man!!
3. One of the best Rajini Intro scene after Muthu
4. No Masala songs, duet songs, commercialism, Tata sumos, Ugly villians…
5. Rajini is in very light mood.. No extravagant action sequences, No illogical ones, except few.. (can’t avoid in movies)
6. Rajini, Style mannan !!! though he is 66, his style, charisma, none can come to his level.. Coat suit, blue shirt, or 60’s style whatever. missing his Cigarette style!! Rajini is Rajini
7. Casting is really good... the henchman, gangsters, his followers.. Especially attakathi Dinesh, Kishore, character Meena, Tiger.. Familiar faces from Madras team.
8. No words to comment on Radhika Apte... what a woman.. Next to Rajini, she has stolen the screen... I loved the character Kumudhavalli who is shown as backbone of her husband Kabali
9. Tough very few punch dialogues... The philosophical ones are accountable... Can be stronger...
10. I can’t say, its Mass action masala Rajini movie... It’s Drama with action, love, family, and thriller one.
11. Should give a pat to Santhosh Narayanan for touching bgm, when Kabali reunites with his family.
12. Editing is fine class with frames are pin point with needed color schemes
13. Climax.. Director's touch., though he can't show Rajini is killed.

If you are looking for negative reviews, here you go

1. Script can be more bold, Rajini's characterization can be shown stronger, atleast to make viewers understand his basic nature, intentions, way of thinking
2. 2nd half, searching for his wife sequences can be cut short to avoid dragging feeling
3. Can be shown more into people protest, supports rather than always fights with gangsters, shootouts

ഞാനും എന്‍റെ കൊച്ചു കൊച്ചു ആഗ്രഹങ്ങളും... 


അങ്ങനെ കുറെ കാലത്തേ,ഒന്ന് ഒന്നര കൊല്ലത്തെ ആഗ്രഹം നടന്നു, ഒരു മലയാളം സിനിമ കാണണം, അതും ദിലീപ് സിനിമ കാണണം.

എറണാകുളം വിട്ടു വന്നെ പിന്നെ, എനിക്കും, എന്റെ അമ്മയ്ക്കും, എന്റെ അനിയനും, ഒരു മലയാളം സിനിമ കാണാന്‍ സൗകര്യം ഉണ്ടായില്ല. തമിഴ് നാട്ടില്‍ എന്ത് കൊണ്ടോ, മലയാളം സിനിമകള്‍ റിലീസ് ചെയ്യാറില്ല.   പ്രയ്ത്യെഗിച്ചും , ഞങ്ങള്‍ ജീവിക്കുന്ന തിരുച്ചിയില്‍.

 ബാംഗ്ലൂര്‍ വന്നെ പിന്നെ, പിജി യില്‍, മലയാളിസ് റൂം മേറ്റ്സ് ആയിരുന്നു.അപ്പോള്‍ സിനിമ കാണാന്‍  chance  ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു . പിന്നീടു വീട് എടുത്തു ഒറ്റയ്ക്ക് താമാസിക്കാന്‍ തുടങ്ങിയതില്‍ പിന്നെ ആ വഴി കണ്ടട്ടില്ല, മലയാളം സംസാരിക്കാന്‍ പോലും കൂട്ട് ഉണ്ടായില്ല.

ആപ്പോള്‍ തൊട്ടുള്ള ആഗ്ഗ്രഹം ആണ് മലയാള സിനിമ, അതും ദിലീപ്ന്റെ സിനിമ കാണണം. പുള്ളികാരന്റെ എന്റെര്‍തൈനെര്‍ ആണ്, even  പെരുമാഴകാലം പോലും.പെരുമാഴകാലം കാണാന്‍ പോയത്, ദിലീപ് ഉള്ളത് കൊണ്ടായിരുന്നില്ല, അത് കമലിന്റെ ചിത്രം ആയതു കൊണ്ടാണ്.

ബാംഗ്ലൂരില്‍ ഒറ്റയ്ക്ക് പോയി സിനിമ കാണാന്‍ മനസില്ല, ശീലമില്ല. എന്റെ ഫാമിലി ഫ്രണ്ട് ഒരുത്തന്‍ ഉണ്ട്, ഫ്രം തിരുച്ചി. അവനെ നിര്ഭന്ദിച്ചു നോക്കി, പിന്നെ ശല്യപെടുത്തി, പിന്നെ ഭീഷണി, യാചിച്ചു, ഒന്നും നടന്നില്ല , അവനു എന്നെ മലയാളം സിനിമയ്ക്ക്‌ കൊണ്ട് പോവാന്‍ പറ്റില്ല എന്ന്. അമ്മ വഴി സുബര്ഷയും കക്ഷിടെ മുന്പില്‍ നടന്നില്ല, കാരണം അവനു മലയാളം അറിയില്ല.

അങ്ങനെ വിഷമിച്ചു വിഷമിച്ചു, ആഗ്രഹം തന്നെ ഇല്ലാണ്ട് ആയി. അപ്പോഴാണ് പുതിയ കമ്പനിയില്‍ ജോയിന്‍ ചെയ്തത്. പ്രോജെച്ടില്‍ allocate ആയി 2 ആഴ്ച കഴിഞ്ഞപ്പഴാണ് നിത്യാനന്ദന്‍ (സ്വാമിജി അല്ല ട്ടോ) എന്ന് പേരുള്ള എന്റെ ടീം മേറ്റ്‌ മലയാളി ആണെന്ന് മനസിലായത്. പ്രൊജക്റ്റ്‌ റിലീസ് ടൈം ആയതു കൊണ്ട് വൈകിയാണ് പരിച്ചയപെട്ടത്‌.

പിന്നീട് പുള്ളിക്കരനോട്  മലയാളം movies ഉണ്ടെങ്കില്‍, പെന്‍ ഡ്രൈവില്‍ കൊണ്ട് വരാന്‍ പറഞ്ഞു. അടുത്ത ദിവസം, ഞാന്‍ ഓഫീസില്‍ പോയില്ല..പിന്നെ വീകെണ്ട്സ് ആയിരുന്നു...പിന്നെ monday , പെന്‍ drive കൈകലാക്കി. വീട്ടില്‍ പോയി, രാത്രി ഇരുന്നു കാണാന്‍ പ്ലാന്‍ ആയിരുന്നു.

പക്ഷെ, സമയം നേരെ എനിക്ക് എതിരയിര്രുനു. അന്ന് നല്ല മഴ. വീട്ടിലേക്കു ചെല്ലുന്ന വഴിക്ക് തന്നെ മനസിലാക്കി ഏരിയ മൊത്തം പവര്‍ കട്ട്‌ ആണെന്ന് .കയ്യില്‍ സിനിമ കിട്ടിയിട്ടും, കാണാന്‍ പറ്റുന്നില്ലലോ ഈശ്വര..! 

അതുകൊണ്ട്, ഈ ആഴ്ച അതിനുള്ള സമയം കണ്ടെത്തി. എനിക്ക് ഇഷ്ടപ്പെട്ട സിനിമകള്‍ തന്നെ കിട്ടി. കഥ തുടരുന്നു, passenger, സ്വലേ...പിന്നെ ഒരു ഇടിവെട്ടു സിനിമ മമൂക്കെട പ്രമാണി. 

ആദ്യം കഥ തുടരുന്നു കണ്ടു. ജീവിതത്തിന്റെ എല്ലാ സാഹചര്യങ്ങളും കണ്മുന്ബില്‍ സിനിമയയിട്ടു കാണുമ്പോള്‍ , നമ്മള്‍ അറിയാതെ ആ കഥാപാത്രങ്ങളെ സ്നേഹിച്ചു പോകും. വല്ലാതെ ഇഷ്ടപ്പെട്ടു. ആ ദിവസം മുഴുവനും അതിലെ കഥ മനസ്സില്‍ തന്നെ തങ്ങി നിന്നു. ഇളയരാജയുടെ സംഗീതം ഇപ്പോഴും പോലെ തന്നെ നല്ല എഫ്ഫക്റ്റ്‌ ആയിരുന്നു. ചിത്രത്തിലെ എല്ലാ കഥപാത്രങ്ങളും അവരുടെ ഭാഗം നന്നായിട്ട് ചെയ്തട്ടുണ്ട്. മല്ലിക  എന്ന അയല്‍വാസി പെണ്ണിനെ ഒത്തിരി ഇഷ്ടപ്പെട്ടു. ക്യാമറ, picturization , എല്ലാം വളരെ ഭംഗിയായിട്ട് തന്നെ അവതരിപ്പിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്. 

ആരോ എന്ന പാട്ട് അപ്പോള്‍ തന്നെ ഡൌണ്‍ലോഡ് ചെയ്തു, മൊബൈലില്‍ കേട്ടിയപഴാണ് സമാധാനമായത്.

അടുത്തത് സ്വലേ, 2 പ്രാവശ്യം കണ്ടു. പത്ര പ്രവര്‍ത്തകരുടെ യാധനകളും, ജീവിത സാഹചര്യങ്ങളും, സംവിധായകന്‍ നേരെ ചോവെ ചിത്രത്തില്‍ പകര്‍ത്തിയ്യിട്ടുണ്ട്. നെടുമുടി വേണു, ദിലീപ്, ഗണേഷ്, അശോകന്‍, സലിം കുമാര്‍, ജഗതി അവരുടെ കഥാപാത്രങ്ങള്‍ വേറിട്ട്‌ നില്‍ക്കുന്നു. ഇതു വരെ ഞാന്‍ അറിയാത്ത പുതിയ ലോഗം ആയിര്രുനു, പത്ര പ്രവര്‍ത്തനം. തിരശീലയ്ക്ക് പിന്നില്‍ എത്ര പേരുടെ പ്രയത്നം ഉണ്ടെന്നു മനസിലായി. സംവിധയകനോട് നന്ന്ദി.

പസ്സെങ്ങേര്‍ നേരത്തെ കണ്ടടുല്ലതോ കൊണ്ട്, എന്ന് കണ്ടില്ല. അതും നല്ല സിനിമയാണ്. അതിലെ ജഗതി ശ്രീകുമാറിന്റെ അഭിനയം ഇഷ്ടപ്പെട്ടു. അദ്ദേഹം ഒരു ഓള്‍ രൌന്ടെര്‍ ആണ്.

അവസാനം പ്രമാണി കണ്ടു. ഓ മൈ ഗോഡ്!! തമിഴ് സിനിമയെ കോപ്പിയടിച്ചപോലെ എനിക്ക് തോന്നി. പക്ഷെ മമ്മുട്ടി അടിപൊളിയാണ്. എനിക്ക് രാജമാണിക്യം, രാപകല്‍, ഒരേ കടല്‍  കാണണം എന്ന് തോന്നി. മൂന്നും വെവേറെ സിനിമകളാണ്.

അങ്ങനെ, എന്റെ ടീം മേറ്റ്‌ നെ കൊണ്ട് എന്റെ ആഗ്രഹം നടന്നു. നന്ന്ദി നിത്യാ.

അടുത്ത പരിപാടി, കഥ തുടരുന്നു, സ്വലേ, അമ്മയ്ക്ക്  വേണ്ടി കൊണ്ട് പോകണം.. കൂട്ടത്തില്‍ പ്രമാണിയും ഇരിക്കട്ടെ,എന്റെ അനിയന് വേണ്ടി.

പുതിയ സിനിമകള്‍ ഒന്ന് അന്വേഷിച്ചു നോക്കണം, Cocktail, Karyasthan...

അച്ഛന് സിനിമ കാണാനൊന്നും സമയം ഇല്ല, പക്ഷെ കമല്‍ഹാസ്സന്റെ സിനിമ ഇറങ്ങിയാല്‍, അച്ഛന്‍ പോയി കാണും, കുറെ കൊല്ലാതെ ശീലമല്ലേ!!!
